Ages: 6+ Time to Play: 5 minutes Object of the game: Add the value of the cards won during play, get the highest total. Face cards = 10, Aces = 1. The Play: A game for two utilizing a deck of cards and one die. Object of the game: Add the value of the cards won during play, highest total wins. Face cards = 10, Aces = 1. The play: begin by dealing face up in separate piles two rows of three cards each like this: 1 2 3 4 5 6 and continue dealing until all cards are dealt (some piles will have more cards than others) The first player rolls the die to get a number, one through six . If he rolls a corner number (1,3,4,6) he may take the top card showing AND ALSO TAKE the top card of one of the other corner positions that it is not contiguous to. For example, if that player rolled a six, he takes that card and may chose to take the top card of the #1 position or #4 position, but NOT the #3 position (since it is contiguous to #6) . Rolling a 2 or 5 is not good because the two and five touch (or are adjacent to) all of the numbers, either vertically, horizontally or diagonally) and therefore may not be used. Rolling a 2 or 5 is like losing a turn. YOU MAY NOT ADD CARDS THAT ARE ADJACENT (TOUCHING). This means the top card of the following piles may be added: #1+#3, #1+#6, #4 + #6, #4+#3. Ending the game: The game ends when all the cards in any pile have been used (there are no more cards left in that pile). Variations: Play partners. Play to a specified number, i.e. 50, 100, 200.
